Are you interested in queer history and South-Asian heritage? Do you love meeting new people?
We are looking for volunteers to help document and deposit the ‘Where East Meets West’ Clun Kali Network collection at Bishopsgate Institute.
Volunteers will be working with digital and physical materials connected to Club Kali from the 1990s to present.
The collection will be a milestone addition to Bishopsgate Institute’s spectacular Queer Archive.
Guided by senior archivists you get will free, hands-on training, including:
Archive skills including basic cataloguing
Digitisation;
Queer Archiving – what’s different and why;
Ethical considerations.
This first workshop on Wednesday 23 April, from 18:30, includes a tour, a queer archives intro, and first insights into the cataloguing process of the Club Kali collection.
Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of a wonderful team, from diverse backgrounds, and not to forget the smashing Archives Launch party in November 2025 (date tbc)!
